Ah Helina, a lovely 38 year-old charmer from ‘Accra, Ghana’.  Of course, Ghana has never seen my dear Helina, who is really using the name of Amanda Burrell (NOTE: there are other Amanda Burrill’s), a ‘Lady’ who shared her photographs with a website called Astro3x (now defunct).  It wasn’t hard to find the history of this fraud, with search skills and a good piece of facial recognition software.  Back then she was known as ‘Mandy’.  Here is Mandy:

Now here is a photo sent me from my dear Helina, Nartey in Accra, Ghana.  Her mistake; in one of her photos that she sent, whilst sitting on her computer, there was an electrical outlet in the wall that is only found in North America.  It is nowhere else, and certainly can’t handle Ghana’s 220V current!

Here is her story; a short 8 days ago, I received this note from her:

Helina quickly asked if we could move our conversation to Yahoo Messenger.  The advantage of that is that we could exchange photos and the possibility of viewing one another on shared webcams existed.

Once connected on Messenger, Here is the Messenger conversation from the first night, that stretched well into the next morning her time (same as London):

Helina Nartey: i was born here in Ghana i have lived here all my life. i didnt go to the university, my dad wanted me to take over his company when he dies so i took a 3 yrs course in secretariat and business managment. i guess it was a wrong decision because my dad is died and his family took all he had from us and i am jobless now.

I dont have any kids, am always smiling and don’t easily get irritated, I don’t even remember the last time I frowned you?

That was Day One.  I didn’t even have to coax information of her.  I was just my simple, charming self.

Views from Sandhausen

On a more significant front, Amazon has made my first book sales deposit into my bank account.  There are two elements of significance.  The first is finally seeing a little income from our book.  The second is that I have waited the months that are required for the income stream to finally start; from now on (assuming that the book sales continue), I should start seeing a regular income.  Now, where was that Ferrari dealership???
